Louisville, Ky. - After a 2-0 weekend in net, goalie
Caden Donahue (Hugo, Minnesota/Mahtomedi HS) was named to the USILA Division II Team of the Week, becoming the first member of the Flyers this season to earn the accolade.
Donahue is the first Lewis player to earn the accolade since
Domenic Tarello garnered the honor back on April 17, 2025.
The reigning GLVC Defensive Player of the Week, Donahue posted 23 saves and five ground balls to help the Flyers go 2-0 this past week. In 30 minutes of action against Davenport, Donahue had three saves and a ground ball while not allowing a single goal from the Panthers. Against No. 12 Newberry, the Minnesota native posted 20 saves and four ground balls in the Flyers 15-8 win. Donahue's 20 saves are the most for a Lewis goal since Riah Rathe had 23 against Maryville on May 8, 2024.
The Flyers continue their four game homestand on Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. against Lake Erie.
