Louisville, Ky. – After already collecting one honor earlier in the week, freshman and reigning Great Lakes Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week Braylon Ray (Rockford, Mich./Rockford) was named to the USILA Team of the Week, the organization announced Wednesday afternoon.
Ray is the first freshman and fifth different player for the Flyers this season to earn team of the week accolades this season.
Ray had a career day this past weekend against then No. 15 Rockhurst as he set new season-highs in both ground balls (5) and caused turnovers (4) during the Flyers 13-7 win to earn GLVC Co-Regular Season Champions honors and earn the right to host the GLVC Tournament this upcoming weekend.
The top-seeded Flyers will play #4 seed UIndy this Friday at 1 p.m. in the semifinal round of the GLVC Men's Lacrosse Tournament.
