Morgan Spodarek (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Midwest Region First Team, the association announced today (May 15).
Spodarek is one of eight player from the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) to land first team accolades. It is the first NFCA All-Midwest Region honor for Spodarek in her collegiate career.
An All-GLVC First Team honoree, Spodarek was a constant behind the plate for the Flyers as she was one of three players to start all 50 games this season. The Lockport, Illinois, native batted .340 on the season with 51 hits, 17 doubles, seven triples and five home runs. Spodarek was tied for third in the GLVC in doubles, while finished as the conference leader in triples at the end of the regular season. She scored 33 runs and drove in 34 RBI, while amassing a .647 slugging percentage. Against Truman (March 21) she drove in four runs and scored three times, while she had a season-high three doubles against Ohio Dominican (April 1), the most doubles in a game for any Lewis player this season. Behind the plate she had a .981 fielding percentage which ranked second on the squad amongst qualified players.
The 2026 NFCA Division II All-America teams will be announced on Wednesday, May 27.
