Indianapolis, Ind. – The Lewis University men's golf team had two golfers collect All-Great Lakes Valley Conference accolades as
Jann Atendido (Bensenville, Ill./IC Catholic Prep) was selected to the All-GLVC First Team and
Gabriel Delaval (Marcq-en-Baroeul, France) was tabbed to the second team, the league announced Monday afternoon. Additionally, as a team, the Flyers men's golf program was named the team sportsmanship award recipient.
Over 24 rounds, Atendido posted a team-best scoring average of 73.5 while landing four top-10 finishes, highlighted by a pair of top-three finishes at the Flyer Spring Invitational and DU Panther Invite. Atendido helped the men's team capture the DU Panther Invite, placing in the top-five alongside fellow Flyer
Ty Doty (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin). A regular starter for the Flyers, Atendido junior placed eighth at the 2026 GLVC Championships, the highest of any Lewis golfer at the event as well.
A native of Marcq-en-Baroeul, France, Delaval managed to place Top-20 in 3 events during the 2025-26 campaign. His performance was highlighted by a third place finish at the Arch Cup the same event where he made his collegiate debut. Delaval ended the year with a scoring average of 75.6 which ranked within the top three of the squad.
The Flyers also took home team silverware as they were named the 2025-26 James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Team Award recipient as voted on by the league's coaches. The award symbolizes the team that best exemplifies sportsmanship on the course throughout the 2025-26 season.
Additionally, Doty was named the Flyers James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award winner. James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Awards are given each year to the institutions and student-athletes who actively demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship, character, and conduct during competition throughout the year. The James R. Spalding Individual Sportsmanship Award winners are selected from each institution's season-long list of nominees compiled by each sport's head coaches.
