Greenwood, Ind. - The 2026 Academic All-District® At-Large Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performances in their respective sport and in the classroom. Twelve Flyers earned the honor this season.
The CSC Academic All-District® At-Large Team is comprised of athletes from fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, water polo, men's volleyball, women's beach volleyball, wrestling, women's bowling, women's rowing and women's field hockey. This year, the Flyers were represented by
Katharine Svehla (Elmhurst, Ill./York) (women's bowling),
Devyn Hartley (Coquitlam, BC, Canada/Dr. Charles Best Secondary School) (women's lacrosse),
Jade McKinnon (Coquitlam, BC, Canada/Dr. Charles Best Secondary School) (women's lacrosse),
Dana Euske (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South) (women's golf),
Kendall Farm (Carol Stream, Ill./West Chicago) (women's golf),
Cassidy Virzi (San Pedro, Calif./Palos Verdes) (women's golf),
Nico Paula (Tampa, Fla./Berkeley Preparatory School) (men's volleyball),
Cole Sweitzer (Middleton, Wis./Middleton HS) (men's volleyball),
Ty Doty (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) (men's golf),
Ethan Hormann (Phoenix, Ariz./Mountain Ridge) (men's golf),
Carter Korzenski (Orchard Park, N.Y./Limestone) (men's lacrosse) and
Tyler Davis (Edina, Minnesota/Edina HS) (men's lacrosse). To be eligible for the award, athletes must be at least a sophomore and have a 3.50 cumulative GPA.
An All-GLVC Honorable Mention, Svehla led the Flyers in nearly all statistical categories this year. Her 82.1 fill percentage ranks third for a season in Flyer history. She led the entire GLVC in NCAA frames bowled this year with 1,072. Her average (188.8), strike percentage (42.3) and makeable spare percentage (76.3) are all team bests, while also finishing third in single pin spare percentage at 82.5.
On the lacrosse field, Hartley received All-GLVC Honorable Mention after contributing on the defensive end with 30 ground balls recovered and eight draw controls won. Her 30 total ground balls were the second highest of the other four Flyers that received All-GLVC mentions this season. The sophomore defender ended her 2026 campaign with a season-high three caused turnovers against Missouri Western.
As for McKinnon, she recorded 34 goals, 12 assists and 46 points, while on the defensive end she recovered 17 ground balls and 18 draw controls en route to All-GLVC Second Team honors. McKinnon notched a season-high five goals on March 6 at Walsh to lead the Flyers to their road win. McKinnon's 34 goals were the highest in the team during the season and ranked in the top-10 of the GLVC. She also ended the year with an average of 3.83 points per game, good for 10th in the conference and was third in the GLVC in caused turnovers per game with an average of 1.67.
On the golf course, Farm produced one of the best seasons in program history since her return from injury as across nine events, she had six top-five finishes during the fall and spring, including earning her very first collegiate win at the Bearcat Dual Gender where she carded her first career hole-in-one during the tournament. The Illinois native was named the GLVC Female Golfer of the Week back on Oct. 23, 2025, making her the first Lewis female golfer to win a weekly award since
Eve Garvey (Al Rayyan, Doha, Qatar/American School of Doha) did so on Oct. 17, 2024. She ended her collegiate career with a top-25 finish at the 2026 NCAA East Regional back in May.
A member of the Flyers roster for the 2026 GLVC Women's Golf Championship, Euske appeared in nine rounds for the Flyers in the 2025-26 campaign, posting a season-best 16th place finish at the 2026 Pawley's Island Beach Bash. The senior provided a season-best 5.61 weighted points for Lewis at the Findlay Spring Invitational later in the season.
Virzi had a spring to remember for the Flyers as she notched a trio of top-20 finishes, underscored by an eighth place finish at the Flyers Spring Invitational. The senior was on the Flyers roster for the GLVC Championship where she helped the red and white qualify for match play at the event for the first time in program history. She also was a member of Lewis' 2026 NCAA East Regional squad where she placed 30th individually. The senior appeared 19 total rounds and ended the year ranked within the top-100 of the NCAA East Region.
On the court, Paula finished the year with 264 digs and an average of 2.44 digs per set, both of which led the MIVA at the end of the 2026 season. An AVCA All-American, Paula notched 11 matches where he had 10-or-more digs, highlighted by a 22 dig performance against McKendree that tied his own program record for total digs in a match. Paula concluded his collegiate career ranked in the top-10 for both career digs and digs per set at Lewis as well.
As for Sweitzer, he appeared in 29 matches with eight starts where he totaled 92 kills, 13 aces and 54 digs. The Wisconsin native tallied 10-or-more kills on three occasions, highlighted by an 11 kill performance against Quincy. Against nationally ranked Pepperdine, Sweitzer notched a career-high three service aces while also setting a new career-high in digs (8) as well. At the net, he notched five total blocks against Purdue Fort Wayne, shattering his previous career-high of three which he set in the 2025 season.
Back on the course, Doty appeared in 29 total rounds where he posted a scoring average of 75.4. The senior had five top-20 finishes, highlighted by a fourth place finish at the DU Panther Invite where he also helped the Lewis men also capture the team tournament title as well. Across his 29 rounds, Doty posted an average weighted point total of 14.13 which saw him end the year ranked within the top-100 of the Midwest Region.
Hormann appeared in 21 rounds for Lewis and notched an average weighted point total of 9.29. The Phoenix native notched a pair of top-10 finishes as he placed 12th at the DU Panther Invite to help the Flyers capture the team title. He also placed 10th, the highest finish for him during the 2025-26 campaign, at the Flyers Spring Invitational. Hormann also competed in the postseason as he and Doty were members of the Flyers roster for the 2026 GLVC Men's Golf Championship.
Finally on the lacrosse field, Davis ended the 2026 year as the Flyers leader in caused turnovers (34) and led all defenders in ground balls with 50. A 2026 USILA All-American, Davis concluded the regular season ranked top-five in the GLVC for caused turnovers and caused at least one turnover in every contest he appeared in except one. The junior defender collected a career-high eight ground balls against Rollins and had a season-high four turnovers twice, accomplishing the feat against Rollins and Lynn. In the GLVC Championship against Maryville (April 26), Davis caused a season-high five turnovers en route to the Flyers 16-10 triumph to clinch the title.
A fellow 2026 USILA All-American, Korzenski ended the year with 71 total points off of 45 goals and 26 assists with his 71 total points ranked top-10 all-time for points in a single season. The Orchard Park, New York, native scored in every game he appeared in this season, underscored by a six goal performance against nationally ranked Lynn. The two-time All-American also recorded eight points in a game on two occasions, accomplishing the feat against Northwood and at UIndy. The senior ended the year with three game-winning goals as well.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early July.
