Louisville, Ky. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced today (July 23) that the Lewis University men's and women's volleyball programs earned the 2026 AVCA Academic Team Award. The award is presented to programs that finish with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.
The Flyer men posted a 3.54 GPA, while the women recorded a 3.58 GPA. It marks the 17th consecutive year the women's program has earned the award, while the men have received the honor in five of the past six years.
It also marks the first time since the 2023-24 season that both programs have posted a cumulative GPA above 3.5.
