Biography

2015 Highlights: Saw action in 12 matches for the Flyers...had a career-high 13 kills, hitting .400, along with five digs in a victory over McKendree (Apr. 18)...nabbed a season-high two aces in the sweep of Carthage (Jan. 14)...made an appearance in the NCAA Championship against Loyola (May 9).

2014 Highlights: Played in 29 matches with one start...recorded nine kills and seven digs with six blocks vs. Erskine (Jan. 18)...added nine digs at Ball State (March 29).

2013 Highlights: Saw action in all 30 matches, jumping into a defensive specialist/libero role…had a career-high 17 digs in a five set victory at George Mason (March 6)…posted double figure digs at Penn State (12, January 18), against George Mason (16, January 26) and against Grand Canyon (12, March 24).

2012 Highlights: Played in 23 games with four starts...totaled 37 assists with six digs and two kills while running a Lewis offense which hit .403 in a sweep at Lindenwood (Feb. 25)...recorded 33 assists with four block assists and three digs with a pair of kills vs. Springfield (Jan. 14)...fan a Lewis offense which hit .500 with 32 assists at Quincy (April 3).

2011 Highlights: Used season as a redshirt campaign.

Prep/Personal: As a senior, named Chicago Sun Times Player of the Year...as a junior, named second team all-state, first team all-area and all-conference...Chicago Sun Times top 50 player...Daily Herald top 10 performer...totaled 324 assists, 255 kills and 52 aces while helping Maine South finish second in the state...three years of experience with the Rolling Thunder Volleyball Club, placing 21st and 17th at nationals...son of Peter and Judith Butch...music merchandising major.
