Biography

2015-16 Highlights: Placed second in the 800 relay with a time of 6:50.24 at IUPUI’s House of Champions (Nov. 21)…claimed a victory in the 200 free relay (1:29.73) at Rollins (Jan. 4).

2014-15 Highlights: Recipient of Lewis' Delahanty Award for academic excellence among student-athletes…placed third in the 200 freestyle relay (1:28.58) vs Grand Valley State (Nov. 1)…earned first in the 1000 freestyle (10:04.81) and 200 freestyle relay (1:27.36) vs Valparasio (Nov. 7).

Prior to Lewis: All-American at Indian River State College 2013 and 2014…helped team to NJCAA National Championship in both 2012-13 and 2013-14.

Prep/Personal: Finished fifth in the state in the 500 freestyle as junior…finished seventh in the state in the 500 freestyle as a sophomore…also swam for club for Crimson Aquatics in Boston, Mass….son of Nelson and Andrea Azevedo…international business major.
