2017 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award – given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-GLVC Team... finished third in the pole vault (14' 1 1/4") at the NAIA Challenge (Jan. 21)... finished third in the pole vault with a personal best (14' 11") at the GLVC Outdoor Championships (May 4-5).

2016 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-GLVC Team...reached a personal best of 14’ 8” in the pole vault event at the GLVC Outdoor Championships (May 5)…placed third at the Lewis Twilight (April 26) with a pole vault height of 13’ 4 ½”.

2015 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-GLVC Team...captured a season-high of 4.00m in pole vault at the Greenville Select Invite (Apr. 4).

Prep/Personal: Two-year letterwinner for Marist in track and field...earned three top-five performances in the pole vault (3rd), 100-meter hurdles (5th) and 300-meter hurdles (5th) at the East Suburban Catholic Conference Championships...helped Marist to an ESCC Championship as a senior...owns a personal record of 12 feet in the pole vault...member of the Honor Roll all four years...major is flight management...son of Bernard and Colleen Castro.
