2011 Highlights: Recipient of Lewis' Delahanty Award for academic excellence among student athletes and a member of the MIVA Academic All-Conference team...played in 11 matches with three starts...recorded 45 assists, six kills, six blocks, five digs and an ace at Grand Canyon (April 16)...totaled 37 assists, three kills, three digs and three blocks vs. NJIT (March 18)...totaled 27 assists, three digs, three blocks and two kills vs. MSOE (Feb. 8)...dished out 26 assists at Grand Canyon (April 15).

Prep/Personal: Ohio's 2010 Player of the Year by the Ohio Boys Scholastic Volleyball Coaches Association...selected to the AVCA 2010 Senior All-America Second Team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association...two-time first team all-state, East Region Player of the Year and conference player of the year...as junior, led the squad in kills with 180...helped the team to a school-record 21 wins, an undefeated league championship and top eight finish in the state...earned All-Ohio Academic status and was named to the honor roll...spent four seasons as the starting setter for Matchpoint Volleyball Club...son of Alan and Traci Cassell...broadcast journalism major.
