2015 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-MIVA Team..selected both AVCA and Volleyball Magazine Second Team All-America...named All-MIVA First Team...led the team with 208 digs...had seven matches with double-digit digs, including a season-high 15 in the NCAA Championship match against Loyola (May 9).

2014 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-MIVA Team...named to All-MIVA Second Team...selected as MIVA Defensive Player of the Week on March 4 and April 15...played in all 30 matches...recorded a season-high 19 digs in the MIVA Tournametn Semifinals vs. Ball State (April 23)...added 15 digs at Ball State (March 29)...totaled 12 digs vs. UC Irvine (Jan. 1), at Quincy (Feb, 28) and vs. IPFW (March 27).

Prior to Lewis: Played two seasons with Los Angeles Pierce College, earning Western State Conference Most Valuable Player accolades in 2013.

Prep/Personal: In his prep career at John Burroughs High, he was named All-League MVP, All-Area First Team, All-California Interscholastic Federation First Team as well as Burbank, Calif., Athlete of the Year in 2011...finished with 660 career kills in three seasons on the Burroughs varsity squad...son of Denyse and Arturo Yanez...sport management major.
