WINTER PARK, Fla.--The Lewis University men's swimming team placed 23rd at the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships on the performances of sophomore Michael Lapustin.
Lapustin placed 10th in the 200 yard individual medley and seventh in the 100 backstroke to earn 19 team points for the Flyers. He swam one other event, the 200 backstroke, but finished 20th in the preliminaries (1:54.37) and did not qualify for the event finals.
The point total and finish were the highest ever for the Lewis men's swimming team.
