Lewis Men’s Golf Is 10th After First Day At NCAA Midwest Regional No. 2

First Round Results

Eureka, Mo. – Lewis University sophomore Alex Thode (Washington, Iowa/Washington) sits in second place with a first-round 70 to lead the men's golf team at the NCAA Midwest Regional No. 2 on Monday (Oct. 14).

The Flyers are in tenth (306) after playing one round at the Univeristy of Missouri-St. Louis hosted event at the Fox Run Golf Course.

Junior Jeremy Fraser (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way North) shot a first-round 78. Sophomore Robert Dofflemyer III (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere) and junior Ryan Frederick (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) were both a shot off of Fraser's pace with a 79.

Senior Mark Bermele (Evergreen Park, Ill./Brother Rice) rounded out the Flyers with a first-round total of 82.

Malone and Ashland are tied for first place among the 23-team field with a total score of 292. Malone's Tyler Light leads the individuals with a first-round 69.

The second round at the NCAA Midwest Regional #2 resumes at 10 AM on Tuesday (Oct. 15).
