Lewis Men’s Golf Sits In Fourth After First Day At Mike Lalaeff Memorial Invite

Hammond, Ind. – Lewis University senior Mark Bermele (Evergreen Park, Ill./Brother Rice) turned in a first round 76 to sit in third while the men's golf JV team is fourth (321) at the Mike Lalaeff Memorial Invite hosted by Purdue Calumet on Monday (Sept. 16).
 
The Flyers are playing at the Lost Marsh Golf Course.
 
Senior Dan Petrarca (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) is tied for 15th after turning in a 79 while junior Anthony Lodovico (Homer Glen, Ill. /Lockport Township) put in an 82.
 
Freshman Ethan Yamada (Arvada, Colo./Ralson) turned in a first round 84 while sophomore Andrew Slonski (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport) rounded out the Flyers with an 86.
 
Saint Xavier squad posted a 304 to sit in first place by 13 strokes. Calumet College's Tyler Nicol turned in a first round 72 to lead the individuals.
 
The final round of the Mike Lalaeff Memorial Invite begins at 9 AM on Tuesday (Sept. 17).
