Lewis Men’s Golf Finishes Fourth At Mike Lalaeff Memorial Tournament

Mark Bermele finished fourth with a two-round total of 149 (76-73).

Hammond, Ind. – Lewis University senior Mark Bermele (Evergreen Park, Ill./Brother Rice) took fourth place with a score of 149 (76-73) on Tuesday (Sept. 17) to help the men's golf JV team to finish fourth 635 (321-314) at the Mike Lalaeff Memorial Tournament hosted by Purdue Calumet.
 
The Flyers played the Lost Marsh Golf Course (par-72, 6,718-yard). 
 
Freshman Ethan Yamada (Arvada, Colo./Ralson) turned in a two-round score of 160 (84-76) while senior Dan Petrarca (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) shot a 163 (79-84).
 
Junior Anthony Lodovico (Homer Glen, Ill. /Lockport Township) finished with a score of 164 (82-82) while sophomore Andrew Slonski (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport) rounded out the Flyers with a two-day total of 169 (86-83).
 
Saint Xavier won the team title with a final score of 601 (304-297) while the Cougars' Kirby Brown shot a total 147 (76-71) for the top individual honor.
