PUEBLO, Colo. - Two Flyers are in the top five of the Samuel Proal Insurance Wolf Pack Invitational following the first two rounds
on Monday (Sept. 8).
Junior
Alex Thode (Washington, Iowa/Washington) and
Robert Dofflemyer III (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere) are tied for fifth after each shot a 140. Thode posted rounds of 68-72 while Dofflemyer did the same but with a 72 in the opening round and a 68 in the nightcap. The 68's for both Flyers represented new career low rounds.
Senior
Jeremy Fraser (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way North) used a 74 and a 75 to tie for 28th with a 149. Senior
Ryan Frederick (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) tied for 41st after a 152 (78-74) performance. Senior
Anthony Lodovico (Homer Glen, Ill. /Lockport Township) shot a pair of 80's for a total of 160, good for 59th.
As a team, Lewis posted a two-round score of 581 (292-289) to sit in fifth place at the 15-team event. Wayland Baptist and Victoria are tied for first after posting a two-round score of 569.
The Flyers will finish the event
on Tuesday.
