Lewis (10-6-2, 8-5-2 GLVC) opens the 2015 Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Soccer Tournament on Sunday (Nov. 1) as the No. 6 seed. The Flyers play at No. 3 seed Quincy (12-3-3, 9-3-3 GLVC) in a match set for a noon start. Quincy enters the match ranked No. 14 in the nation.

ALL-TIME VS. THE HAWKSLewis is 7-20-3 all-time against Quincy. The Flyers' last win over the Hawks came last season when Lewis defeated the Hawks 2-1 in Romeoville.
Meg Carmody (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) and
Lauren Grady (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) had goals for Lewis in the contest. In 1995, Lewis defeated Quincy in the GLVC Championship game in penalty kicks after a 2-2 tie. In the 1995 NCAA Tournament a week later, Quincy ended Lewis' season with a 2-0 win. The two clubs met again in post season in 1997 when the Flyers topped Quincy 3-0 in GLVC Tournament play.
ALL-TIME IN THE GLVC TOURNAMENTThis is Lewis' sixth all-time appearance in the GLVC Tournament (1995, 1996, 1997, 2012, 2014 and 2015). It is the Flyers' third in four seasons. Lewis won the GLVC Tournament in 1995. All-time, Lewis is 3-4-1 (Lewis' shootout decision over Quincy in 1995 accounts for the tie) in GLVC Tournament play. Chris Koenig is 0-2 all-time in the GLVC Tournament, with a 1-0 loss to William Jewell in 2012 and a 3-0 loss to UW-Parkside in 2014.

A WIN AND...Should Lewis defeat Quincy, the Flyers would play the winner of No. 2 Truman State and No. 7 Rockhurst. That match would be played Friday, Nov. 6. at a site to be determined. Lewis tied Truman State and lost to Rockhurst this season.
