Des Moines, Iowa - Lewis University senior
Rebecca Preisler (Romeoville, Ill./Romeoville) set a NCAA Automatic Qualifying mark in the pole vault to lead the No. 19 Flyer women's track and field team at the Drake Relays on Saturday (April 25) afternoon.
Preisler cleared 4.05m (13'3 1/2") to finish 12th overall in the event.
Lewis also received a NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark from its 4x400 relay team. The quartet of senior
Megan Marchildon (Ypsilanti, Mich./Lincoln Consolidated), junior
Chantel Stennis (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook), freshman
Zoe Mead (Princeton, Ill./Princeton) and senior
Amy Polhemus (Hawthorn Woods, Ill./Lake Zurich) crossed the finish line in 3:48.68 to finish seventh overall.
Lewis returns to action on Friday (May 1), as they head to Liberty, Mo., to participate in the 2015 Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by William Jewell.
