Naperville, Ill. - The No. 16 Lewis University women's track and field team made the most of its final opportunity of the season, as the Flyers recorded three NCAA Provisional marks and one NCAA Automatic mark at the Dr. Keeler Invitational, hosted by North Central College, at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium on Friday (May 8) night.
Lewis junior
Chantel Stennis (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) set a NCAA Provisional mark with a first-place finish of 55.74 in the 400-meter dash, while senior
Rebecca Preisler (Romeoville, Ill./Romeoville) collected a first-place and NCAA Automatic mark of 4.10m (13'5 1/4") in the pole vault.Â
Lewis sophomore
Amanda Farrough (South Bend, Ind./Clay) claimed a second-place finish in the 1,500-meter run with a NCAA Provisional time of 4:32.71.
Flyer freshman
Zoe Mead (Princeton, Ill./Princeton) placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a NCAA Provisional showing of 2:12.87, while senior
Amy Polhemus (Hawthorn Woods, Ill./Lake Zurich) notched a team-season best time and second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles (1:02.51).
