ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced Wednesday (June 27) that Lewis swimmers
Ebony McCray (Avondale, AZ/Agua Fria High School) and
Mads Knoblauch (Svenborg, Denmark/Svenborg Gymnasium) were selected for its Scholar All-America Team.
The award recognizes students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and competed in their NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Also, those named as Honorable Mentioned selections have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at a regional or zone qualifying meet.
Both McCray and Knoblauch earned honorable mention selections to the team.
"We are very proud of both Mads and Ebony," Lewis swimming coach
Roger Karns said. "This award is based on both their accomplishments in the classroom as well as their high level of competitive swimming. Mads and Ebony embody the true spirit of the student-athlete that represents Lewis swimming and the university as a whole."
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA – the oldest organization of college coaches in America - is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
