AUGUSTA, Mich. – Lewis' women's golf team finished fifth with a score of 630 (313-317) at the Davenport Panther Invitational at the Stonehedge North Golf Course in Augusta, Mich. on Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 19 and 20).
Tiffin won the team title with a score of 611 (+35) and Tiffin's Amanda Johansson was the individual medalist with a two-round score of 144 (74-70). Par for the course was 72 and the course yardage was 5,829 yards.
Kasey Kane (Texarkana, Tex./Texas) was the top finisher for the Flyers with a score of 157 (76-81) to finish in a tie for 11th.
Sarah Breslin (Du Quoin, Ill./Pinckneyville),
Caiya Dewitt (Zeeland, Mich./) and
Jackie Moreno (Arlington, Texas/) all finished in a tie for 18th with a score of 158 (+14). Breslin shot back-to-back 79s, Dewitt shot a 76 on Saturday and an 82 on Sunday. Moreno shot an 82 on Saturday and a 76 on Sunday.
Alyson Shuman (Palisade, Colo./Palisade) finished in a tie for 39th with a score of 165 (84-81).
Lewis wraps up its fall schedule next Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 28 and 29) at the Jekyll-O-Lantern Intercollegiate at Jekyll Island Golf Course in Jekyll Island, Ga.
