NAPERVILLE, Ill. – In the final weekend before the conference championships, the Lewis track and field teams competed at North Central's F. Lee Slick Invitational on Friday evening in Naperville, Ill. The Flyer women won the event with 236 points while the men finished third with 104.5 points.
Lewis had numerous individuals record personal bests at the meet while the men's 4x400 meter relay team of
Will DeBolt (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North),
Connor Wagner (Elgin, Ill./Burlington Central),
John Partee (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) and
Chaz Sales (Merrillville, Ind./Merrillville) earned a national qualifying mark with a time of 3:19.06. On the women's side,
Jamie Poppen (Ballwin, Mo./Parkway West) recorded a national qualifying mark in the pole vault while
Anna Laudizio (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) improved her national qualifying mark in the triple jump.
