ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -- Lewis University Cross Country Head Coach James Kearney has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2024 season as the Flyers look to repeat as Great Lakes Valley Conference Champions on the women's and men's side.

Lewis begins its season on Friday, September 6 as the Flyers host the Flyer Early Bird Invitational at the Lewis Cross Country Course. The team hits the road for a pair of meets as Lewis travels to the University of Notre Dame National Catholic Invite in South Bend, Indiana on Friday, September 20 where both teams finished in first place among non DI schools in 2023. 

The Flyers will then compete in the Seminole Valley Stampede hosted by Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Saturday, October 5. Lewis then hosts the biggest DII Cross Country Meet in the country as the Flyers hold the Lewis Crossover on Saturday, October 12. 

With its sight set on repeating, Lewis will travel to Springfield, Illinois to compete in the GLVC Championships Saturday, October 26 hosted by Illinois-Springfield. Lewis then looks ahead to Saturday, November 9 as the Flyers host the NCAA DII Midwest Regional Cross Country Championship in their own backyard at the Lewis Cross Country Course. 

The season wraps up in Sacremento, Calif. as the Flyers look to make their name known in the NCAA National Championships on Saturday, November 23.
