ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -- The Lewis University women's track and field team hosted and competed at the second day of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Championships Friday, May 2. After the second day of events, the Flyers stayed in the first place spot with 94 total points as they look to continue their lead through the final day of competition Saturday, May 3.

Congratulations to junior Denise Hernandez (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North HS) on recording a historic 6.46m jump in the long jump event breaking the GLVC record while collecting an NCAA DII provisional mark and becoming the women's long jump GLVC champion!
