ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Monday (July 21) that the Lewis University men's and women's volleyball programs earned the 2025 AVCA Academic Team Award. The award goes to teams who finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.

The Flyer men had a GPA of 3.488, while the women had a 3.69 GPA. It is the 16th straight year the women have earned the award, while the men have earned the award four of the past five years.

In addition to the Academic Team Award, the women's team also earned the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll. The Honor Roll represents the top 20 percent of GPA's nationally by division.
