Lewis Softball Announces Signing Class

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis University softball coach Becky Pearl has announced the newcomers to the Flyer softball team for the 2025-26 season.
 
Teagan Berkshire – A righty outfielder, Berkshire is a graduate of Lincoln-Way Central High School where she played volleyball, basketball and softball. The Exercise Science major was an All-Conference selection as a junior and helped the Knights go 34-2 her senior season. She was a National Honors Society member and High Honor Roll student.
 
Avery Flynn – Flynn comes to Lewis after three years at the University of Findlay. The BioChem major is a utility player from Fruitport, Michigan. She attended Spring Lake High School where she was an Academic All-American and All-Conference, All-District and All-Region as a senior.
 
Chloe Gust – The pitcher and infielder joins the Flyers after two years at Bryant and Stratton College and a year at Cleveland State University. In 2023 she finished eighth in the nation in doubles with 24, batting .500 with 88 RBI and 14 home runs, earning Team MVP honors. She also was Team MVP in 2024 and made the Region 10 All-Tournament Team, battling .441 with 23 home runs, 72 RBI and 25 stolen bases. She attended Northridge High School in Indiana.
 
Alexa Jocic – The Hoffman Estates High School graduate is an Aviation Flight Technology major. The catcher, second baseman and outfielder was a three-time Daily Herald All-Area Honorable Mention. She also was a Mid-Suburban League All-Conference selection as a junior and a team captain as a senior.
 
Chloe Kohnhorst – Kohnhorst joins the Flyers after two years at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. The catcher and infielder is an Exercise Science major. She graduated from Minooka High School where she was a two-time SPC All-Conference selection and helped the Indians finish in third place in the state her sophomore campaign.
 
Jozlynn Pacheco – The utility infielder graduated from Argo Community High School where she was an SSC Red All-Conference selection four times. She was a 2025 Southland All-Area Second Team selection and All-State Third Team member as a senior.
 
Victoria Richardson – The catcher and utility player comes to Lewis after two years at Tallahassee State College. She was an All-Panhandle Conference First Team selection in 2024 and a Second Team All-Panhandle Conference choice in 2025. The nursing major from Tinley Park High School batted .306 with 36 hits, five doubles and 18 RBI as a freshman at Tallahassee State. As a sophomore she batted .295 with 12 doubles, 27 RBI and 27 runs scored.
 
Olivia Shaw – The Exercise Science major is a graduate of Crystal Lake Central High School where she pitched and played the infield. The High Honor Roll student was a four-time Fox Valley All-Conference selection and Northwest Herald All-Area. She was also a two-time All-State selection. She helped Crystal Lake Central to a regional championship as a senior.
 
Morgan Spodarek – The Communication Sciences and Disorders major comes to Lewis after a year at McKendree University where she was a Third Team All-GLC selection. She batted .276 with 51 hits, 17 doubles, three triples, nine homers and 46 RBI. She graduated from Lockport High School where she was an ICA All-State Third Team selection, All-Conference and All-Academic member.
