Romeoville, Ill. - The Lewis University men's and women's track & field teams qualified six entries for the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, set for March 13–14 in Virginia Beach, Va.
Denise Hernandez (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North HS) is set to compete in the long jump. Hernandez currently sits seventh nationally with a leap of 6.15m. The senior is the reigning NCAA outdoor national champion in the long jump and captured the GLVC Indoor Championship title in the event this past weekend.
Evan Horgan (Loves Park, Ill./Belvidere North) will compete in both the 3000-meter and 5000-meter races. He currently ranks 17th nationally in the 3000m with a time of 7:58.84, making this his first NCAA appearance in the event. In the 5000m, he sits sixth in the nation with a time of 13:44.23 after earning seventh place at last year's indoor national championships and 16th place at outdoor nationals. Evan also swept the GLVC Indoor titles in both the 3000m and 5000m this past weekend.
Abraham Christian (Huntley, Ill./Huntley HS) qualified for the high jump and will make his first appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Christian currently ranks 13th nationally with a clearance of 2.13m and captured the GLVC Indoor Championship title in the event this past weekend.
Levi Graham (Plainfield, Ill./Minooka) qualified for the weight throw and enters the NCAA Championships ranked second in Division II with a mark of 22.17m. Graham is coming off a GLVC Indoor Championship title in the event this past weekend. The senior is a two-time NCAA national runner-up, finishing second in the weight throw at the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships (22.01m) and second in the hammer throw at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships (65.67m).
Neil Erasmus (George, South Africa/) qualified in the heptathlon, where he will also make his first NCAA Indoor Championships appearance. Erasmus currently sits 12th nationally with 5,161 points and claimed the GLVC Indoor Championship title in the heptathlon this past weekend.
