2003: A fall Deans[apos] List student ... was the only Flyer to play in and start all 54 games ... led the team in multiple-RBI games (eight), at-bats (199), total chances (483), putouts (468) and double plays (29), and tied for the team lead in home runs (three) and RBI (26) ... second in runs (28), doubles (13), extra-base hits (17), total bases (75) and stolen-base percentage (.800), and tied for second in multiple-hit games (13) ... fourth in plate appearances (210), and tied for fourth in hits (51) ... had a Lewis season-high 19 putouts vs. Quincy (May 3) ... his eight-game hitting streak (12-32, .375, 12 RBI, six runs) was the team[apos]s second-longest ... registered three-hit games vs. Lynn, Northern Kentucky and Southern Illinois Edwardsville (two doubles), and 10 two-hit games ... homered in both games of a doubleheader vs. Northern Kentucky ... during his eight-game hitting streak, had consecutive three-RBI games in the first three games of a four-game series vs. Northern Kentucky ... also had three RBI vs. Concordia, and four 2-RBI games ... grounded into just three double plays ... had two five-game stretches without striking out (22 plate appearances both times) ... hit .224 with two home runs and 13 RBI (tying for the team high) in GLVC games.

High School: Earned two varsity letters as a second baseman and third baseman ... as a senior, hit .387 with seven home runs and 37 RBI and was all-conference, all-area, a Catholic League All-Star Game participant, starting third baseman for the Catholic League in the Chicago Crosstown Classic at Comiskey Park, and recipient of the Engles Award (four-year team Most Valuable Player) ... Loyola was conference runner-up that season and won the conference title his junior year ... also played basketball ... made the Second Honors list all four years.
