2010 Highlights: Academic All-GLVC and a Delahanty Award recipient ...before season ending injury, made 13 appearances in relief...collected a save vs. Quincy (March 19) thanks to 2.0 scoreless innings...tallied 3.0 innings of scoreless relief vs. Gannon (Feb. 28)...allowed no runs in 2.0 innings at UW-Parkside (March 28)...struck out four in 3.0 innings of scoreless relief at Maryville (March 3)...didn't allow a hit or a run in 2.2 innings vs. Quincy (March 21)...threw a scoreless inning at Oakland City (March 16) and vs. Northwood (March 4)...didn't allow a run in a 0.1 of an inning at Henderson State (Feb. 14) and vs. Hillsdale (Feb. 26)...surrendered no runs or hits in 0.2 of an inning vs. West Virginia Wesleyan (March 5) and vs. Upper Iowa (March 24).
2009 Highlights: Academic All-GLVC and a Delahanty Award recipient...tied a Lewis single season record with 28 pitching appearances, all in relief...earned first career victory with .2 inning appearance vs. Gannon (March 4)...earned second victory with a perfect .2 inning performance vs. Winona State (March 14)...allowed no runs in three innings to pick up first career save vs. UW-Parkside (April 1)...two innings of no-run, one hit ball at Indianapolis (March 28)...fanned two in two innings of no-run pitching at Flagler (March 3)...sat down two, allowing no runs and one hit vs. Saint Joseph's (April 26)...struck out two in an inning vs. UW-Parkside (May 2)...threw a scoreless inning at Grand Valley State (April 28)...struckout three, allowed no runs in a 1.2 inning performance vs. Saint Joseph's (April 26)...surrendered no hits and no runs in 1.2 innings vs. Kentucky Wesleyan (April 10)...allowed no runs in 1.2 innings at Saint Francis (April 9)...gave up no runs in a .2 inning performance at Saint Francis (April 9)...gave up no runs in two innings vs. Bellarmine (March 22)...surrendered no runs in an inning vs. Hillsdale (Feb. 28).
Prep/Personal: Earned three varsity letters for Pekin High School...helped team to two second place finishes at regionals and two conference championships...as a senior, finished with a 3.90 ERA...member of the National Honor Society, named to the honor roll, an Illinois State Scholar and Prairie State Scholar...had a 2.60 ERA with Pekin Legion...son of Dale and Tammy Hicks...finance and marketing major.
