Biography

2015 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-MIVA Team...appeared in nine matches and started in four...nabbed four kills with a dig and a block against Loyola (March 9)...blocked a career high nine balls, including two solos, against McKendree (Apr. 18).

2014 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-MIVA Team...played in 25 matches with 13 starts...recorded five blocks, five digs and four kills vs. Erskine (Jan. 18)...added five blocks and three kills vs. Ball State (Feb. 22).

2013 Highlights: Named to Academic All-MIVA Team and Delahanty Award honoree…played in nine matches with three starts...had a season-high five kills against George Mason (Jan. 26)…collected five block assists at Penn State (Jan. 18) and at Grand Canyon (Feb. 1).

2012 Highlights: Recipient of Lewis' Delahanty Award for academic excellence among student athletes and a member of the MIVA Academic All-Conference team...played in 11 matches with one start...had two kills and two block assists vs. King (March 13)...recorded two block assists vs. Mount Olive (Feb. 28)...added a kill and a block assist vs. Springfield (Jan. 14).

2011 Highlights: Delahanty Award recipient and a member of the MIVA Academic All-Conference team...used season as a redshirt campaign.

Prep/Personal: As a sophomore, helped his high school team finish second in the state in DII...also named First Team All-State, a Central Division All-Star and set the school record for single season hitting percentage (.474) that year...as a junior, named to the Regional All-Star Second Team...an honor roll student every semester...club experience with Cincinnati Attack...in 2009 he was on the National High Performance A2 Team that won gold...in 2010 and 2011 he was on the Ohio Valley High Performance International men’s team...son of Tim and Valerie Hofmann...physics major.
