2013 Highlights: Selected as Lewis University's 'Senior Student-Athlete of the Year' and earned his fourth Br. David Delahanty Award - given tto Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence...raced in five events, including a sixth-place showing of 20:33 at the 4-mile Bradley Intercollegiate (Sept. 6), helping the Flyers to the team title...finished 23rd at the 8K GLVC Championships (Oct. 26) with a career-best time of 25:50, pushing Lewis to a second-place team finish...named to Academic All-GLVC Team.

2011 Highlights: Finished in 92nd place at the 8K GLVC Championships (Oct. 22) with a time of 27:21.7...recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence and named to Academic All-GLVC Team.

2010 Highlights: Br. David Delahanty Award winner, given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence and also named to Academic All-GLVC squad...competed in three cross country events...turned in a 40th place finish at the 8K Badger Open (Sept. 3) in 29:05.7....had a season-best time of 27:19 to finish 33rd at the 8K Illini Open (Oct. 22) as the Flyers won their first meet in over six seasons.

Prep/Personal: Four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track and field at Walther Lutheran...four-time state qualifier in cross country and track and field...four-time All-Conference selection in both track and cross country...finished sixth overall in the 1A State Cross Country Finals as a senior, crossing the finish line in 15:24...placed second overall in the 1A State Finals in the 3,200-meter run (9:32.99) and third in the 1,600-meter run (4:27.39) as a senior...helped Walther Lutheran to three sectional championships during his career...named class salutatorian...Illinois State Scholar...member of the National Honor Society...academic bowl sectional qualifier...son of Peter and Kris Mazza...Physics major.
