KENOSHA, Wis. - The Lewis University men's golf squad holds a 20-stroke lead following the first day of the UW-Parkside Fall Invite on Monday (Sept. 15) at The Club at Strawberry Creek. The final round will be held on Tuesday.
Lewis compiled a day one score of 283. Belarmine is in second with a 303 at the eight-team tournament. Each team in the event is a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
"The men came through with a great start today at UWP," Lewis head coach
Skip Steffey said. "Robert, Ryan and Alex continued their outstanding play and Jeremy came through with a useable fourth score. This team looks great moving forward this year."
Junior
Robert Dofflemyer III (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere) shot a 68 and sits in first place overall. Senior
Ryan Frederick (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) fired a 69 to sit in second place. Junior
Alex Thode (Washington, Iowa/Washington) is tied for third place following a round of 71. Senior
Jeremy Fraser (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way North) also had a top-10 round with a seventh place 75. Freshman
Eric Raube (Pontiac, Ill./Pontiac Township) rounded out the Flyers' team with an 84.

Anthony Lodovico (Homer Glen, Ill. /Lockport Township) (78), freshman
Austin Buente (Troy, Ill./Triad) (84) and freshman
Trent Smith (Pontiac, Ill./Pontiac Township) (84) each played as individuals for the Flyers.
