HTML ResultsHILLSDALE, Mich. - No. 18 Lewis men's swimming won eight events in a dual meet with Findlay on Saturday (Nov. 14) afternoon. The Flyers topped the Oilers 113-92. The meet was held on the campus of Hillsdale College.
Junior
Quinn Poti (Orlando, Fla./Timber Creek) picked up a win in the 1000 freestyle thanks to a time of 10:04.26. He also came back later to win the 500 free by more than two seconds (4:51.14). Senior
Tommy Cornes (Napa, Cali./Vintage) touched first in the 50 free, winning in 21.88. Junior
Brandon Thoman (Marco Island, Fla./Brarron Collier) won the 200 IM thanks to a 1:58.64 performance. Junior
Dan Szakovits (Melbourne Beach, Fla./Melbourne) swam the 100 free in a victorious time of 49.17. Freshman
Mads Knoblauch (Svenborg, Denmark/Svenborg Gymnasium) touched first in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:54.19.
Cornes, freshman
Colin Williams (Elk Grove, Ill./Elk Grove), Poti and Szakovits combined to top the field in the 200 free relay (1:28.06).
Knoblauch, senior
Zach Ballon (Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek), Williams and Thomas won the 400 medley relay, stopping the clock in 3:34.26.
The win moves Lewis to 5-1 in dual meets this season. Lewis returns to the pool on Nov. 20-22 at the IUPUI hosted House of Champions meet.
