Romeoville, Ill. -
The Lewis University men's basketball team takes to the road and heads to Michigan as the Flyers (3-1) will meet Northwood (3-1) for a 7 PM ET regional tip-off at the Bennett Center on Tuesday (Nov. 24) night.
Live stats and video streaming of Tuesday's contest - provided by Northwood - can be found at LewisFlyers.com.

LAST TIME OUT - Lewis rallied from a seven-point deficit with less than a minute left in regulation - highlighted by a game-winning lay-up by junior guard Miles Simelton (Oswego, Ill./Oswego)  - to earn the 85-84 regional victory over Saginaw Valley State at Neil Carey Arena on Saturday (Nov. 21) night.

LAST TIME WE MET - Lewis senior guard Ryan Jackson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) led four Flyers in double-figures with a team-season high 25 points in the 86-79 regional victory over Northwood at Neil Carey Arena on December 17, 2014.

ALL-TIME SERIES - Since Lewis entered the Division II ranks, the Flyers hold an 8-1 lead over the Timberwolves in their all-time series.

RANKED SCHMANKED - Lewis has defeated at least one nationally-ranked Division II team in each of the last five seasons - including last season's 70-61 win over then No. 1 ranked Indianapolis.

TOUGH CROWD - Entering the season, Lewis has averaged over 20 wins in the last three years with 62 total victories. That would put them sixth overall among GLVC teams in total wins behind league leader and 2013 National Champion, Drury (80).

EFFICIENCY IS KEY - Lewis senior center Kyle Nelson (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) is currently third in school-history with a 61.2% (309-for-505) field goal percentage.

WHO DO YOU GUARD? - In just four contests, Lewis has had seven different players score at least 10 points.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR - Lewis sophomore swingman Max Strus (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg) was named the 2015 Great Lakes Valley Conference Freshman Of The Year after averaging 13.3 points and 5.3 rebounds-per-game for the Flyers in 2014-15.

GETTIN' IT DONE - Strus (21.3 ppg./9.3 rpg.) currently leads the Flyers in both scoring and rebounding. The last Flyer to accomplish this feat was Monta McGhee (19.1 ppg./8.6 rpg.) in 2003-04.

TOTALLY TO THE MAX - Strus was the highest scoring Flyer freshman since Lewis' All-Time Leading Scorer Larry Tucker registered 14.9 points-per-game in 1979-80.

HE'S A LEGACY - Strus is the brother of former Flyer standout Marty Strus (2008-12). Marty is Lewis' all-time leader in blocked shots (181).

ALL-AROUND GOOD GUY - Strus has led the Flyers in points, rebounds and assists three times during his career.

FROM LONG RANGE - Junior guard Capel Henshaw (Harrisburg, Ill./Harrisburg) is currently third in school-history in career three-point FG%, as he has converted 44.6% (70-for-157) of his attempts.

TOURNAMENT TESTED - Lewis is the only team in the Great Lakes Valley Conference that has advanced to the GLVC Quarterfinals in each of the past nine seasons.

POSTSEASON ACCOLADES - Lewis has had at least one All-GLVC performer in each of Trost's nine seasons as a head coach.

DUNK YOU VERY MUCH - Lewis recorded nine slam dunks in the win against Cedarville on November 13th. That is the most flushes in the Trost era since they had five against both Drury (2/12/15) and St. Francis (12/11/10).

BEYOND THE ARC - Opposing teams are averaging 31.3 three-point attempts in four games against the Flyers this season.

DOUBLE DOUBLES - Nelson has recorded double-doubles in back-to-back games. The last Flyer to have a double-double in three consecutive games was Stephan Bolt during the 2007-08 campaign.

DOUBLE DOUBLES (PART DEUX) - Lewis has recorded four double-doubles in four games this season. The Flyers totaled five double-doubles for the entire 2014-15 campaign.

500 CLUB - Strus needs three more points to reach 500 for his career.

SIXTH (AND SEVENTH) MEN - Freshman forward Frank Vukaj (Davison, Mich./Davison) and Henshaw are averaging a combined 20.8 points off of the bench for the Flyers. Vukaj is scoring 10.5 points-per-game, while Henshaw is chipping in 10.3 points-per-game.
