BATAVIA, Ohio – Lewis men's golf returned to action on April 3-4 at Elks Run Golf Club in the third regional of the season, The Jewell. 

The Flyers finished sixth of 27 teams at The Jewell with a two round score of 585 (294-291). The Flyers were just five shots off the lead as Indianapolis won the event after shooting a 580.
 
Junior Alex Thode (Washington, Iowa/Washington) and junior Robert Dofflemyer III (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere) tied for fifth overall in the 135-player field after firing a 143. Thode shot a 73 and 70. Dofflemyer finished with a 71 and 72.

Senior Ryan Frederick (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) improved by one stroke during the second round, finishing with a 147 (74-73). Freshman Austin Buente (Troy, Ill./Triad) used a pair of 76's, scoring a 152, good for 69^th. Senior Jeremy Fraser (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way North) rounded out the Lewis starting five. He tied for 109^th with a 156 (79-77).

Lewis is back on the course on April 12-13 in Noblesville, Ind. in Midwest Regional #4.
