Ohio State had 11 aces to Lewis' two.

TOURNAMENT TIME – Lewis is 14-8 under Dan Friend in MIVA Tournament contests.

OH MY GOD WE'RE BACK AGAIN – Lewis has advanced to the MIVA Championship in five consecutive seasons. The Flyers won at Ohio State 3-2 in 2012 and lost the last three seasons to Loyola.

POLLING PLACE – The Flyers have been ranked in the AVCA Top 15 Poll for 100 consecutive polls. That is a total of 272 calendar weeks. The last poll without the Flyers ranked on it was Jan. 31, 2011. Lewis enters Saturday's match ranked No. 12 in the nation.

CENTURY MARK – Six Flyers have recorded 100 or more kills this season. The last time the Flyers can make that claim was 2012.

FIVE WOULD BE NICE – Lewis enters Saturday's contest on a four-match winning streak. It is tied for their longest of the year.

ALL-MIVA SELECTIONS – Five Flyers earned All-MIVA accolades. Bobby Walsh (Chicago, Ill./Mount Carmel) (First Team),  Mitch Perinar (Channahon, Ill./Minooka) (Second Team), Jacob Schmiegelt (Lombard, Ill./Willowbrook) (Second Team), Scott Fifer (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) (Second Team) and Trevor Weiskircher (Loves Park, Ill./Boylan Catholic) (Honorable Mention).

HEY FRESHY – Mitch Perinar (Channahon, Ill./Minooka) also took home the MIVA Freshman of the Year Award. He is Lewis' third MIVA Freshman of the Year since 2010. Ian Karbiener earned the honor in 2010. Geoff Powell (Claremont, Calif./Claremont) picked up the award in 2012.

FOUR YEARS, FOUR AWARDS – Senior Bobby Walsh (Chicago, Ill./Mount Carmel) was named to his second consecutive All-MIVA First Team this year. He was an All-MIVA Second Team selection his first two years.

"PER" OF AWARDS – Mitch Perinar (Channahon, Ill./Minooka) earned another freshman accolade this week when he was named to the Off The Block/Springbak, Inc. Freshmen All-American Team.

TOP 10 - As a team, Lewis is ranked No. 7 in the nation in blocks per set (2.48) and No. 8 in hitting percentage (.308).

GREAT WALL OF WALSH - Bobby Walsh (Chicago, Ill./Mount Carmel) owns 550 career blocks. He is the second Flyer in program history to reach 500 blocks. Victor Rivera is Lewis' all-time leader with 567 blocks from 1996-99. Walsh's total makes him the rally scoring era blocking champion (2001 to present). Also worth noting, Rivera recorded his 567 blocks over 452 sets. Walsh has played 425 sets.

PUTTING ON THE HITS - Bobby Walsh (Chicago, Ill./Mount Carmel)'s .467 attack percentage ranks third in the nation.

ROUND NUMBERS - Lewis head coach Dan Friend captured his 300th career men's volleyball victory earlier year when the Flyers defeated Lindenwood on March 19. He picked up his 100th career MIVA win in Lewis' 3-0 win over Ball State on April 8. Entering Saturday's contest, he owns 399 combined coaching wins between his men's and women's career. Meaning a win on Saturday would be his 400th career coaching victory.
