Flyers Ranked Seventh In Latest NCAA Midwest Regional Rankings

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis University's men's soccer team is ranked seventh in this week's NCAA Division II Super-Region 3 rankings. The top 10 teams in the final rankings will be selected for the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer tournament. The selections will be announced on Monday (Nov. 15) at 5:30 p.m. (CST) on NCAA.com.

The Flyers dropped two spots from fifth to seventh this week after their 1-0 double overtime against Drury this past Sunday afternoon. Lewis is still in line to receive an at-large berth to the NCAA Championships.

Indianapolis regained the top spot in this week's rankings after dropping to second a week ago. The Greyhounds switched spots with Maryville this week who fell to two. Parkside and Illinois Springfield held steady at three and four while Lake Erie and Cedarville both moved up a slot this week. After Lewis the final five teams in this week's poll are Ohio Dominican at eight, Davenport is ninth, Fort Hays St. checks in at 10 with Saginaw Valley and Upper Iowa ranked 11th and 12th respectively.

The NCAA Tournament is scheduled to begin with first round contests on either November 18 or 19. Seeds 7-10 will play an opening round contest with the winner advancing on. The top six seeds receive a bye to the second round.
