ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The United Soccer Coaches announced on Thursday (Dec. 16) that Lewis University men's soccer senior midfielder
Domenic Baumann (Bergheim, Germany/Brauweiler) was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Scholar All-America Team.
Baumann becomes the fourth player in Flyer history to make the team, joining Anthony Szymel (2008), Alec Pickett (2013) and Devon Amoo-Mensah (2017). He is one of two players from the Great Lakes Valley Conference to make the team.
Baumann is a business administration major with a grade-point average of 3.77. On the field he had 18 points recording seven goals and four assists in helping lead Lewis to a 12-5-3 record, 9-3-2 in the GLVC and back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2013.
He was a First Team All-GLVC selection, a First Team United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region selection and also earned First Team D2CCA All-Midwest Region honors.
Student-athletes on this year's Scholar All-America Teams will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022 at the Kansas City Convention Center in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
