INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Lakes Valley Conference has announced the postseason awards for women's soccer. Abby Gustafson (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) and Cameron Sengstock (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South) have been named to the All-GLVC First Team and Alex Dennis (Tinley Park, Ill./Victor J. Andrew) is the Lewis honoree for the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award. 

This is Gustafson's second All-GLVC honor after being named first team last season. Gustafson, a graduate student defender, played and started in all 17 matches this season. Gustafson was a part of the defending line that only allowed 12 goals all season, 0.71 goals per match, and a record nine total shutouts.

Sengstock, a senior forward, was named to the All-GLVC First Team by her performance on the field. The senior played in all 17 matches for the Flyers and started in 16 while leading the team in goals (nine) and points (20). The senior's nine goals ranks second in the GLVC while her 20 points puts her third. 

Dennis was named the Lewis University Spalding Sportsmanship Award representative. The senior midfielder played and started in all 17 games this season for the Flyers. Dennis recorded one goal and assisted on another one. 

The GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honorees are student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.
