Lewis University Athletics

Matt Brendich enters his third year as the Lewis University Sports Information Director. Brendich oversees the entire publicity efforts for the 18-sport Flyers Athletics Department and is the primary media contact for men[apos]s soccer, men[apos]s and women[apos]s cross country, men[apos]s basketball, men[apos]s and women[apos]s track and field, men[apos]s and women[apos]s tennis and softball. Brendich came to Lewis after spending the previous three years at Northern Illinois as the Associate Media Relations Director for the Huskie Athletics Department. While there, Brendich served as the primary media contact for the men[apos]s basketball team and men[apos]s tennis team; as well as the football statistician and in other capacities. Prior to his stint in DeKalb, Brendich was the Assistant Sports Information Director for the University of Illinois at Chicago from 2000-05. He served as the media contact for various sports at UIC, including women[apos]s volleyball, women[apos]s basketball and baseball. Brendich graduated from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin in 1999 with a degree in Communications with an emphasis in Media. He and his wife Julie reside in Yorkville.
