Romeoville, Ill. - The Lewis University men's basketball team has its final non-conference regional game of the season on Wednesday (Dec. 17), as the host Flyers (6-1) welcome GLIAC rival Northwood (5-3) to Neil Carey Arena for a 7 PM tipoff.

ALL-TIME SERIES - Since Lewis entered the Division II ranks, the Flyers hold a 7-1 lead over the Timberwolves in their all-time series.
LAST TIME WE MET - Lewis fought back from a four-point deficit with less than two minutes remaining to earn the 82-80 non-conference victory over the Timberwolves on November 22, 2008 at Neil Carey Arena. Lewis senior guard Brandon Dagans (23 points) and sophomore guard Dennis Thomas (22 points) both scored 20+ points for the Flyers.

Scott Trost won his 300th career game, as the host Flyers claimed the 96-76 win over Cedarville at Neil Carey Arena on Dec. 6, 2014.
THE LAST TIME - Lewis freshman guard
Max Strus (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg) posted 20 points and 10 rebounds in the 91-62 win over Malone (Nov. 15). He is the first Flyer freshman to score at least 20 points in a game since Jackson did it as a rookie in 2011-12 He is also the first rookie to notch a double-double since his brother Marty Strus (2008-12) accomplished that feat in 2008.
SMOKIN' HOT - Lewis has won 35 of its last 44 contests dating back to the 2012-13 campaign for a winning percentage of .795.
RANKED SCHMANKED - Lewis has defeated at least one nationally-ranked Division II team in each of the last four seasons.
DECEMBER TO REMEMBER - Lewis has won 13-straight games in the month of December dating back to the 2011-12 season.

Ryan Jackson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) needs 35 points to crack the All-Time Top 10 in Lewis career scoring.
1,000/700 ON THE HORIZON - Senior forward
Julian Lewis (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) needs 147 points to reach 1,000 for his career. He needs 122 more rebounds to become just the fourth Flyer in school history to notch at least 1,000 points and 700 rebounds in the Division II era.
WINNING WITH CLASS - Lewis' current senior class (2011) needs 14 wins to reach the most victories (75) by a Trost recruiting class, set by last year's seniors.
POUNDING THE GLASS - Lewis currently holds a +7.4 rebounding margin over their opponents through seven games this season. That would be the highest rebounding margin of any Flyer team under Trost's tenure. The previous high under Trost was +4.2 in 2007-08.
FROM WAY DOWNTOWN - Lewis has hit at least 10 three-pointers in three games this season. The Flyers needed the entire 2013-14 campaign to achieve that same feat.

Kyle Nelson (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) is shooting 70.0% (21-for-30) from the floor this season. Should Nelson reach 50 field goals made and maintain that shooting percentage, he would tie the single-season record set by Larry Tucker in 1981-82.
