2010 Highlights: Made 11 appearances with 10 starts ... tied for second on the team in wins (4) ... third on the team in innings pitched (58.0) ... picked up the victory while allowing just one earned run and six hits in 7.0 innings at Kentucky Wesleyan (April 10) and vs. Indianapolis (April 17) ... earned first career-win thanks to a 7.0 inning, six strikeout two run performance vs .Gannon (Feb. 28) ... allowed just one earned run in a 5.1 inning victory vs. West Virginia Wesleyan (March 5).

Prep/Personal: Helped his high school team finish second in the state his senior year ... tallied a 1.62 era with 22 strikeouts in 17.1 innings .. earned the Dr. Voie Stuart Chase Coy Scholar-Athlete Award ... club experience with Horizon Summer and Fall teams as well as with the Orland Park Magic prior to high school ... son of Craig and Jacqueline Almanza ... finance major.
