Hall of Fame
The Lewis men's volleyball team in 1998 recorded a 25-9 record (14-1 at home) while going 8-2 in the MIVA and winning the MIVA West Division. The team qualified for the NCAA Tournament and made it to the NCAA Final Four for the 2nd time in three years. The team finished the season with a final ranking of No. 4 in the 1998 UAS Today/AVCA Collegiate Men's Volleyball Coaches Poll. Along with the team's success there were several individuals that received accolades. The team featured the MIVA Newcomer of the Year Edgardo Deniz and the MIVA Player of the Year in Victor Rivera. Rivera was also named All-MIVA First Team and ACVA/NCAA National Collegiate Men's Volleyball All-American First Teamer. Deniz and Guy Nembhard were named ALL-MIVA Second Team.
