Lewis University Athletics

Soich was one of several two-sport athletes during Lewis’s early sports years.  As a basketball player, Soich earned the Most Valuable Player Award twice (1955-56 and ’56-’57).  He was the finest passing guard Gordie Gillespie ever coached.  It was Soich who was a key member of the first winning baseball team in Lewis’ history in 1954 (Lewis has not had a sub-.500 season since). 
 
Soich, who passed away suddenly, is inducted posthumously.
