Bob Miller played baseball for the Flyers from 1965-1967.  A transfer student from Wright Junior College, Miller quickly established himself as one of the great third basemen in Flyer history.  His .359 lifetime batting average ranks him seventh on the all-time Flyer list.  In 1965 he was voted the Most Valuable Player Award by his teammates.  He was selected to the District 20 All-Star Team and was voted to the All-American Second Team that same year.  Miller was co-captain of the 1966 team.  He was again voted to the District 20 All-Star Team and elected to the All-American First Team.  His 1966 team finished second in the nation, the highest finish in Lewis history to that date.  The 1966 record of 34-6 still stands as the finest won-lost percentage record in Lewis baseball history.

Miller was drafted by the Washington Senators in 1966 and spent five years in their minor league system.

Bob has been teaching and coaching since 1971, the last twelve at Gordon Technical High School in Chicago, where is also the baseball coach.  Bob and his wife, Colleen, are the parents of four children.
