Hall of Fame
A member of the Lewis University Golf Team from 1987 to 1991, Jason Shook was GLVC All Conference and team Most Valuable Player in 1989 and 1990. He was voted to the All District team in 1990 and 1991, and was a medalist in the GLVC Conference Tournament the same two years.
Jason is the first and only golfer in LEwis history to be named to the NCAA All American first team. In 1991, he was named to the GTE Academic All-American team. He holds the Lewis record for lowest scoring average in a season (74). His 1989 and 1990 teams were ranked in the top twenty in the nation.
Team captain in his senior year, Jason won five individual tournaments and was Lewis' low scorer in every tournament in which he played. He set a Lewis record and tied a course record (65) at Ocean Point Golf Course in South Carolina.
Jason was named to the Deans' List of Honor Students in all four years if his studies at Lews University. He served on the President's Advisory Council and the Academis Affairs Committee.
After turning professional in 1991, Jason played the mini tours in Florida for four years. He qualified for the Canadian PGA Tour and played on that tour during the 1996 and 1997 seasons.
Jason is the only Lewis golfer to play on the American PGA Tour, qualifying for the Greater Milwaukee Open in 1997.
