Bob ranks fifth on the all-time doubles list with forty-six, fourth on the all-time home run list with thirty-six, and second on the all-time run’s batted in list with one hundred and ninety-eight.  He also ranks fifth in runs scored with one hundred and eighty-four and second in total career hits with two hundred and eighty.

Bob was the first Lewis player signed to a professional contract after Lewis joined the NCAA.  He also was Lewis’ first NCAA All-American when he earned the honors in 1981.

His 1980 Lewis team finished second in the nation in the NAIA National Championships.  Bob was captain of both the 1980 and 1981 teams.

Bob signed a professional contract with the Atlanta Braves in 1981.  He is beginning his seventh year with the Braves and has Triple-A contract.  He will report to the Richmond Virginia club shortly.
