John Dolinsky

John Dolinsky was a member of the soccer team from 1971-1974.  During Dolinsky’s tenure Lewis established itself as a mid-west soccer power, compiling a record of 46-16, while advancing to the District Championships all four years.  Dolinsky averaged thirteen goals and eight assists a year while establishing himself as the second all-time leading scorer in Lewis soccer history.  He was named to the All District and All Midwest Teams in 1972, 1973, 1974, and 1975.  John was voted to the National Soccer Coaches Association All-American Team in 1973 and 1974.  In 1975 he was named to the NAIA All-American Team.
 
Since leaving Lewis, John has continued his soccer career in the Major Indoor Soccer League. He has played for the Pittsburgh Spirit, the Buffalo Stallions and the Kansas City Comets.  He also participates in the Outdoor United Soccer League, having played for the Oklahoma City Slickers and the Dallas Americans.  He presently is a player-assistant coach with the Canton, Ohio Invaders.  He is married and the father of two children, Melissa and Paul.
