Spiezio only spent two seasons at Lewis, but is probably the most famous player in school history. He saw major league service with the St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres and the Chicago White Sox compiling a major league career batting average of .238. Spiezio batted .493 in his senior year with the Flyers and finished with a record .445 career batting average. He also slugged 19 homers in only 68 games as a Flyer. He was a two-time NAIA All-American.
Spiezio now resides with his family in Joliet, where he also runs his own business.
