During a highly successful three-year career, Cindy Reyes played a very significant role in elevating the Lewis University women's soccer team to GLVC and national prominence.
Cindy is tied for No. 2 in assists (23), No. 4 in points (85) and No. 5 in goals (32) on the Flyers' career lists. She owns two of the program's top 10 single-season point totals (No. 7 with 41 points, 1997, and No. 10 with 32 points, 1996); her 10 assists in 1996 are tied for No. 4 on the Lewis single-season list; and her 17 goals in 1997 are tied for No. 6 on the single season chart.
As a senior, Cindy was named GLVC Player of the Year and tied for 25th in NCAA Division II in scoring (41 points). She was chosen to the All-GLVC first team in each of her three seasons, and she was an All-Central Region first-team selection and Lewis' Most Valuable Player (sharing the award with sister Nancy) in her junior and senior years.
Lewis had a 36-18-3 overall record (.658) and a 20-4-1 GLVC ledger (.820) during Cindy's career. The 1995 team won the first-ever GLVC women's soccer title, qualified for the NCAA Division II Championship and was ranked No. 6 in the country.
